Forgot how fun lino prints are!

Recently went on the search for some more tools for my Ceramics classes I  run at Maze Studios, I was on the look out for carving tools for making prints, soon realised it would cost a pretty penny with the cheapest sets of tools costing around £6 soooo as you do decided it would be better to make some

is now very satisfying carving with my own tools, very comfortable too! The great thing about teaching is, it gets me doing things I haven't done in a while. I had forgotten how exciting printing is.

Admittedly a while after the teaching was done, had a go at making a small print, was fun to see it work again (very low tech printing ie squishing it in between books).

A few pictures to get back on track.

Have been doing allot of throwing recently producing forms for a collaboration between myself and another artist at Maze Studios, the work is waiting for the application of beautiful Delft ware illustrations as a reflection of 18-19th century Staffordshire and Bristol Potteries.

Had a small window after teaching one day last week to throw a bit of my own work, a few large salad bowls, which are now waiting to be decorated for the stalls Maze Studios is taking part in Nov/Dec http://mazestudiosbristol.blogspot.com/

Bit By Bit

Had a small window to get a few pieces fired, cant wait to start realising some of the ideas that I have been storing up.

Bevere Gallery

I was very pleased to be selected to show my work at the Bevere Gallery in Worcester alongside fellow Bath Spa Graduate Emily Cross.
I was particularly taken by their generosity with sharing knowledge and awareness of the important link between Gallerys and artists and expanding the awareness of the multitude of approaches to be taken in the professional world of marketing /selling/exhibiting work. Thank you for a grate show.

Not sure what it is about feet but I seem to really enjoy drawing them, think cos they are funny shapes and and they're kind of elusive.....arh socks!
